Seamus Johnston is a Senior Software Engineer in Controls at Oxa, with extensive experience in developing safety-critical software and controller analysis tools. Previously, Seamus worked as a Software Engineer at Nuro and as a Controls Engineer for Wisk, where projects included autonomous eVTOL aircraft development and extensive use of C, C++, MATLAB, and Simulink for control design and analysis. Seamus co-founded UW Sailbot, leading the design of an autonomous sailboat and achieving notable competition success. Internship roles include contributions to notable companies such as Kitty Hawk, NVIDIA, Trexo Robotics, and more, focusing on flight controls, state estimation, and robotics software development. Seamus holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
