John Bromley has a long and varied career in the energy sector. John began their career in 2011 as the Chief Investment Officer of Renewable Energy & Climate at Triodos Bank. In this role, they managed the Ampere Equity Fund and originated and concluded the equity acquisition of a 50% share in the 46MW Carraig Gheal Wind Farm project in July 2011. John was also a Director of GreenPower International Ltd from 2014 to 2015.
In 2015, John joined Legal & General as the Managing Director of Clean Energy Strategy and Investments. In this role, they led L&G Capital's Clean Energy strategy and investments in the UK energy sector. John was also a Committee Member of the Group Environment Committee, where they were involved with Climate Change and Environmental policy, SDG, SBT and TCFD.
John has also had a number of Non-Executive Director roles. These include Oxford PV (2016-2022), Pod Point Ltd. (2019-2021), Kensa Group (2020-2021) and Rovco (2022-present). John was also a Board Observer for Tokamak Energy Ltd (2016-2019) and Upside Energy (2017-2019).
John Bromley has a diverse educational background. John completed a Climate Related Financial Risk course at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment at the University of Oxford in 2019. In 2018, they completed a Private Equity Program at the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. John also completed an Oxford Chicago Booth Valuation Programme at the Saïd Business School in 2014. In 2003, they earned an MBA in Strategic Management & International Business from the Nottingham Business School at Nottingham Trent University. Finally, they earned a BSc (Hons) 2:1 in Physical Geography from the University of Nottingham in 1998.
