Josh Gellers

Josh Gellers serves as a Faculty Fellow for Artificial Intelligence at the University of North Florida since August 2014, where strategic initiatives have been led to promote ethical AI adoption for the benefit of the university community and the broader Northeast Florida area. Gellers has held various leadership roles, including chairing multiple committees on AI and sustainability, and has contributed to the Institute of Environmental Research and Education as both Joint Faculty and Executive Board Member. Gellers has also participated in esteemed working groups related to AI and governance within IEEE, while engaging in city-level environmental initiatives and advisory committees. Educational credentials include a PhD and MA in Political Science from UC Irvine and additional degrees from prominent institutions such as UCLA School of Law and Columbia University.
