OZ Minerals Limited is a mining company with a focus on copper. The Company's principal activities are the mining of copper, gold and silver, carrying out exploration activities and development of mining projects. The Company's segments are Prominent Hill, which is engaged in mining copper, gold and silver from Prominent Hill Mine, a combined open pit and underground mine located in the Gawler Craton of South Australia; Carrapateena, which is engaged in exploration and evaluation activities associated with Carrapateena project located in South Australia; Exploration & Development, which is engaged in exploration and evaluation activities associated with other projects and includes interests in Jamaica and Chile, and joint ventures with Minotaur Exploration and Toro Energy Ltd., and Corporate Development activities, and Corporate, which is engaged in other corporate activities, including Consolidated Entity's Group Office, other investments in equity securities and cash balances.

Mining

OZ Minerals

Fiona joined OZ Minerals in February 2019 and is responsible for the people and culture corporate strategy. She has over 20 years' multinational experience in organisational development and culture change. 

She began her career with Shell UK before establishing the HR function for Baush and Lomb UK’s manufacturing division. After moving to Australia to complete her MBA, Fiona joined Lion Nathan as HR Director Wines and Spirits, followed by a series of roles in corporate strategy and capability. Across all of these roles Fiona’s passion has been the development of high performing cultures through the application of evidence based practices. 

Most recently, Fiona ran her own leadership development consultancy supporting leaders to drive culture change through a focus on their mindsets and behaviours.

Fiona is a Fellow of the Australian HR Institute, an accredited coach with the International Coaching Federation and a member of Australian Adaptive Leadership Institute’s advisory committee.

Fiona Blakely

Richard Seville has over 35 years’ experience in the resources sector including 25 years as either Managing Director or Executive Director of various ASX, TSX or AIM listed companies.

Mr Seville was Orocobre’s Managing Director and CEO for 12 years before stepping down in January 2019. He remains on the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Mr Seville is a mining geologist and geotechnical engineer, graduating from the Imperial College London and James Cook University in North Queensland. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in Mining Geology and a Master of Engineering Science in Rock Engineering

In August 2019, Mr Seville was appointed Chairperson of Agrimin Limited. In April 2021 he was appointed as Chair of Mayur Resources’ iron and industrial sands business, Mayur Iron.

Richard Seville

Tonianne Dwyer is an independent non-executive public company director. She currently sits on the Boards of DEXUS Property Group, ALS Limited, Incitec Pivot Limited and the Sir John Monash Foundation. She is Deputy Chancellor of the University of Queensland and previously a Director of Cardno Limited.

Having qualified as a lawyer in Western Australia, she spent over 20 years in investment banking and real estate fund management in London, returning to live in Australia in 2010. During her executive career, she was a Director of Investment Banking at Societe Generale / Hambros Bank advising companies in the UK, Europe and US on M&A, restructurings and refinancings. She joined LSE listed property company, Quintain Estates & Development plc, in 2003 where she was appointed Head of Fund Management and in 2006 was appointed to the Board as an Executive Director. Quintain was the developer of the two largest urban renewal projects in London – at Wembley and on the Greenwich Peninsula.

Ms Dwyer is a graduate member of Australian Institute of Company Directors and a member of Women Corporate Directors.

Tonianne Dwyer

Ms McGrath is an experienced professional company director and Chairman. Prior to her non-executive career Rebecca spent 24 years in the oil industry both in Australia and overseas. Her last executive position was Chief Financial Officer and a member of BP’s Executive Management Board for Australia and New Zealand. Ms McGrath is a former Director of Incitec Pivot Limited and Big Sky Credit Union. In addition to her Bachelor and Master Degrees, Ms McGrath is a graduate of the Cambridge University Business and Environment program. 

Ms McGrath is currently a Non-Executive Director of Investa Commercial Property Fund Holdings and a member of The Australian British Chamber of Commerce Advisory Council. She is also President of the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ Victorian Division and is the Victorian Division director of AICD’s National board.

Rebecca McGrath

Andrew has 30 years’ experience in exploration and operations in the resources industry. Following exploration geoscientist roles in Australia, Canada, USA and Mexico with Rio Tinto Exploration (CRA and Kennecott), Andrew spent 10 years in mine development and mine operations with Rio Tinto in Australia, China, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Andrew was the site lead for an underground feasibility study and exploratory decline development at Rio Tinto’s Argyle mine in Western Australia. In London, Andrew led Rio Tinto’s Diamond Product Group’s strategy and business development function. From 2007, Andrew was General Manager Operations of the Clermont Region Operations, including the Blair Athol Mine and Clermont Mine, based in Clermont, Queensland. Andrew spent two years in Beijing establishing and managing CRTX, a Chinalco and Rio Tinto joint venture copper development company based in mainland China. Andrew was Chief Operating Officer of Rio Tinto Iron and Titanium in 2013, responsible for the leadership of more than 5,000 employees across four operating sites based out of Montreal.

Andrew is particularly passionate about leading and developing people, creating safe workplaces and driving continuous improvement. He was appointed to Managing Director and CEO of OZ Minerals in 2014.

Andrew Cole

Dr Sarah Ryan is an independent non-executive company director. She currently sits on the Boards of Woodside Petroleum, Aurizon, and Viva Energy and the Future Battery Industries CRC.  Her executive career includes 15 years with Schlumberger, the leading oilfield technology company, in various positions internationally across research, engineering, manufacturing, operations, marketing and senior management.  Dr Ryan was Chief Operating Officer for a private equity backed company in the UK which successfully commercialised innovative oilfield technology, before transitioning  into investment management, where she was responsible, as an equity analyst and later energy advisor, for natural resources investments worldwide, based in the USA. 

She is a Fellow of the Academy of Technology and Engineering, where she is Deputy Chair of the Energy Forum.  Dr Ryan is a member of Chief Executive Women, and the ASIC Corporate Governance Consultative Panel.  Dr Ryan was previously a non-executive director of Aker Solutions ASA (Norway), Akastor ASA (Norway) and Central Petroleum

She holds degrees in geology and geophysics and a PhD in Petroleum Geology and Geophysics, and has undertaken executive education at IMD, Switzerland.

Sarah Ryan

Claire Parkinson is the Integration Executive at [OZ Minerals](/org/oz-minerals). Claire has over fifteen years of experience in strategic communications and business transformation.

Claire began their career in the public sector, working for the Department for Infrastructure and Transport. In this role, they were responsible for the development of key risk reporting for the largest financial institution in South Australia.

In 2014, Claire moved into the not-for-profit sector, taking on the role of Head of Operations at Guide Dogs SA/NT. In this role, they developed a strategic business growth model for Australia’s most trusted brand.

In 2016, Claire returned to the corporate world, taking on the role of Head of Business Performance at BankSA. In this role, they successfully refreshed and repositioned the brand and reputation of South Australia's leading industry body representing the resources sector.

In 2018, Claire joined GFG Alliance as the Strategic Communications Manager for the Transforming Whyalla Project. In this role, they were responsible for the development and implementation of the communications strategy for the project.

Claire is currently the Integration Executive at [OZ Minerals](/org/oz-minerals). In this role, they are responsible for leading the integration of [OZ Minerals](/org/oz-minerals) and its operations.

Claire Parkinson reports to Andrew Cole, MD & CEO. They are on a team with Warrick Ranson - CFO, Finance & Governance Executive, Fiona Blakely - People Executive, and Kerrina Chadwick - Corporate Affairs Executive.

Claire Parkinson

Mr Wasow has extensive experience in the resources sector as both a senior executive and director. He retired as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Alumina Limited in mid-2017. Previously, he had held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Santos Limited and in a 20-year plus career at BHP he held senior positions including Vice President, Finance and other senior roles in Petroleum, Services, Corporate, Steel and Minerals.

Mr Wasow was previously the senior independent Director of the privately held GHD Group, Non-Executive Director of Alcoa of Australia Limited, AWA Brazil Limitada, AWAC LLC and Non-Executive Director and chair of the audit committee of ASX-listed Alumina from 2011 to 2013.

Mr Wasow has been also been a member of the Business Council of Australia, and director of the International Aluminium Institute and APPEA.He is currently a Non-executive Director of APA Group.

Peter Wasow

As Projects Executive, Debbie is responsible for overseeing the development of their growth projects, ensuring they deliver value for all their stakeholders.

Debbie Morrow

Warrick leads the Corporate Finance function and has accountability for Budgeting & Planning, Risk & Audit, Accounting, Tax, Treasury and Sales & Marketing.
 
Warrick has had an extensive career in the Mining industry, including over 18 years at Rio Tinto where he held various senior executive financial, commercial and transformation roles. Commencing his career in public practice, more recent roles have included Finance Executive of Rio Tinto’s Copper product group based in London, Chief Commercial Officer within the Iron Ore product group and Head of Productivity Development for Rio Tinto globally.
 
Prior to joining OZ Minerals Warrick was with German-headquartered diversified industrial group, thyssenkrupp.

Warrick is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and holds an MBA from the University of Oxford.

Warrick Ranson

Michelle joined OZ Minerals in March 2022. As Technology Executive, she is accountable for ICT, including digital, robotics and automation, Mining Technology and Transformation.

Michelle Ash

Charlie Sartain has more than 30 years’ international mining experience. He was Chief Executive Officer of Xstrata’s global copper business for nine years from 2004, during which he oversaw the growth of the business to become one of the world’s leading copper producers, with operations and major projects in seven countries. Prior to that, he held senior executive positions in Latin America and Australia including General Manager and President of Minera Alumbrera Ltd in Argentina, General Manager of Ernest Henry copper/gold mine and General Manager of Ravenswood Gold Mines in Queensland.

Mr Sartain is currently a non-executive director of Brisbane-based ASX-listed ALS Limited, and was formerly a non-executive director of ASX-listed Austin Engineering Limited and US-based NYSE/TSX-listed gold company Newmont Goldcorp Inc. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Sustainable Minerals Institute at the University of Queensland and Chairman of the Board of Wesley Medical Research Limited.

His former institutional roles have included Chairman of the International Copper Association, a Member of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Council on Australian Latin American Relations, a member of the Senate of the University of Queensland and a Local Councillor of the Dalrymple Shire Council (Queensland).

Charles Sartain

As Strategy and Growth Executive, Bryan is accountable for investigating and negotiating external growth opportunities.

Bryan Quinn

Matt is accountable for operational performance across OZ Minerals including the Prominent Hill, Carrapateena and Carajás assets plus associated brownfields projects.

Matt has over 25 years’ experience in the mining industry. He has held executive roles with Arrium and most recently SIMEC Mining where he had exploration to market responsibility for its iron ore and coking coal business. Prior to these he held a series of management and senior management roles with Arrium, led Matrikon’s Advanced Process Control business in Australia and South East Asia as well as fulfilled operational and technical roles within Newcrest Mining and WMC.

Matt Reed

Kerrina joined OZ Minerals in December 2016. She is accountable for managing the company’s strategic approach to internal and external communications, brand, reputation, stakeholder engagement including investor relations, media and government.

She has more than 20 years’ experience in Corporate Public Affairs in prominent ASX listed companies including the senior roles of Head of Corporate Affairs for gold miner, Newcrest, and General Manager Group Communications and General Manager Government Relations at retailer, Coles Group Limited. She began her career in the media followed by a period as a Ministerial advisor.
