David Rubio Piqueras

David Rubio Piqueras has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of data engineering and analytics.

David is currently employed at Paack as a Cloud Lead Data Engineer, where they are responsible for leading data engineering projects in the cloud environment. Prior to this role, they worked at Paack as a Cloud Big Data Engineer, focusing on big data processing and analytics.

Before joining Paack, David worked at GFT Group for several years. During their time at GFT, they held various roles such as Data Engineer, Business/Technical Analyst, Developer, and PROD Support. David was involved in projects with clients such as BBVA, Liberbank, and Deutsche Bank, working on tasks such as technical requirements analysis, data processing and reporting, and software development. David gained expertise in a wide range of technologies and tools including Spark, Scala, Hadoop, Sqoop, Hive, Kafka, Docker, and more.

Prior to their tenure at GFT, David worked as an Intern at Grupo 10 Gestion y ajuste de danos S.L. and Bancaja, where they gained initial exposure to the industry.

David Rubio Piqueras obtained a Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Formal Methods, and Information Systems from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in 2010. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the same institution and obtained a degree in Technical Engineering with a specialization in Computing Management in 2009. In addition to their formal education, David also holds a Cambridge English: First (FCE) certification, which they obtained in August 2016 from the Cambridge English Language Assessment institution.
