Chris Azuma has a diverse work experience in demand generation and marketing. Chris'smost recent role was as a Senior Demand Gen Manager at Semgrep, starting in February 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Demand Generation Manager at Pachyderm Inc. from July 2021 to January 2023, where they managed all demand gen, event, brand, and community campaigns.
Chris also has experience as a Demand Generation Manager at DataStax from November 2020 to July 2021, where they managed developer and new app development campaigns and collaborated with the Cloud Marketplace team.
Before that, they worked at InfluxData as a Senior Demand Generation Manager from December 2019 to November 2020, and as a Demand Generation Associate from February 2019 to November 2020.
Chris also gained marketing experience as a Marketing Intern at New Relic, Inc. in 2018 and as a Marketing Intern at Savvius from December 2017 to March 2018. Additionally, they worked as a Sales Operations Intern at 451 Research from December 2016 to February 2017, and as a Core Team Sales Intern at 451 Research in June and July 2016, where they used Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator and communicated with clients to set up trials and meetings.
Chris Azuma obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Sonoma State University. This degree was obtained between the years 2014 and 2018. In addition to their degree, Chris has earned various certifications including the Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) from Adobe in June 2020, the Lean Data Routing Certification from LeanData, Inc. in November 2019, the Google Ads Fundamentals certification from Google in January 2019, and the Google Analytics Beginner Certification from Google in December 2017.
