James Spracklen currently serves as a Senior Technical Advisor for the National Security Directorate at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), a position held since January 2011. In this role, James focuses on international border security training related to weapons of mass destruction (WMD), critical energy infrastructure protection, and international nuclear security programs. Additionally, James manages the WMD Counterproliferation Program and oversees international projects for the Department of Energy and the Nuclear Security Administration. Prior to PNNL, James worked for the U.S. Department of Energy for nearly three decades, holding the position of Director of Security and Emergency Services at the Hanford Nuclear Site and leading Homeland Security programs in Richland. James holds a Master's degree in Public Administration/Criminal Justice from Washington State University and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Montana State University-Bozeman.
