Jinhui Tao is a Staff Scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) since June 2013, focusing on physical mechanisms of nucleation and growth in diverse materials systems, and interfacial science using advanced microscopy techniques. Prior to this role, Jinhui Tao served as a Research Associate investigating protein-mineral interactions at the molecular level for bone and enamel formation. From December 2009 to June 2013, Jinhui Tao was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, delving into biomineral formation and utilizing advanced microscopy and molecular modeling. Jinhui Tao's academic background includes a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Zhejiang University, where research centered on the role of amorphous phases in biomineralization, and a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University.
