Kevin Duffy

Kevin Duffy is a social scientist with extensive experience in research and community engagement focused on equitable renewable energy development at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since January 2022. Previously, Duffy was a graduate research assistant at the University of Maine, where research centered on media-environment relationships and marine aquaculture, culminating in a dissertation emphasizing community-based storytelling. Teaching experience includes roles as a graduate teaching assistant for public speaking and visual communication courses. Duffy's prior professional roles include environmental news reporter at Great Lakes Echo, communications intern at Sierra Club, and various positions in web communications and outreach in academia and new media. Duffy holds a PhD in Communication from the University of Maine, an MA in Environmental Journalism from Michigan State University, and a BA in Science Writing from the University of St. Thomas.
