Mariefel Olarte

Mariefel Olarte is a Senior Research Chemical Engineer IV at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where responsibilities include managing multiple research projects focused on the catalytic production of biomass-derived liquid fuels and chemicals, as well as analytical method development. Previously served in roles such as Scientist & Engineer III and II, coordinating with academic and government collaborators to reach project objectives. Additionally, Mariefel holds an adjunct faculty position at Washington State University and has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Intern at Georgia Institute of Technology and Chevron, respectively. Mariefel's educational background includes a PhD and Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering and Analytics from Georgia Institute of Technology, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (Paper Science & Technology) from the University of the Philippines Los Banos.
