Tony Ierardi

Lieutenant General (Ret.) Tony Iereradi is a consultant to high-performing organizations. He is currently an Adjunct Senior Fellow for the Defense Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). He recently completed a diverse military career with his concluding assignment as the Joint Staff’s J-8 Director, where he led joint requirements oversight, military net assessments, and formulation of options for the Defense Department’s annual budget and long-range investment programs. Tony possesses relevant and practical experience in a wide range of government, national security, and defense-related areas. He also commanded the U.S. Army’s First Cavalry Division. Tony is a graduate of Washington and Lee University and holds master’s degrees from Georgetown University and the Naval War College.
