Mark Grant has over 20 years of work experience, starting with their role as an Assistant Debate Coach at Wake Forest University in 1993. Mark later worked as an Instructor at James Madison University before joining Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP as an Associate in the Technology Group. From 2019 to 2021, Mark served as the Vice President, General Counsel at Patientco, a healthcare IT company. Mark was responsible for legal contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, and other legal issues. Currently, Mark is the General Counsel at American Software, Inc., where they oversee legal matters for the company and its subsidiaries.

Mark Grant attended Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology from 1985 to 1989. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Politics at Wake Forest University from 1989 to 1993. Following their undergraduate studies, Mark obtained a Master of Arts degree in Communication from Wake Forest University between 1993 and 1995. Finally, they attended Emory University School of Law, where they earned their Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from 1996 to 1999.
