Aaron Marienthal

Aaron Marienthal is the SVP of Legal at PayActiv. Aaron has specialized in high-stakes financial services litigation and investigations, complex commercial disputes, and intellectual property matters. Aaron has defended numerous top financial institutions in both individual and class action cases related to a wide-range of consumer lending and finance issues, including home and auto finance, foreclosure, repossession, alleged Ponzi schemes, and credit reporting. Aaron has litigated litigated dozens of trademark, copyright, and patent infringement cases, and regularly counseled clients in protecting and enforcing their trademarks before the USPTO and TTAB. Aaron is skilled in all phases of federal and state court litigation including e-discovery, dispositive motion practice, and trial.

Some of their notable accomplishments include taking a lead role in the defense of a major financial institution in forced-placed auto-insurance MDL and Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) class actions, successfully resolving a high-stakes regulatory action against a post-secondary education provider, representing an industry leading software provider in claims for breach of contract and copyright infringement against a former customer, and resolving dozens of trademark infringement disputes in the retail, fitness, and food & beverage industries. Aaron has also conducted high-profile internal investigations for a fortune 50 company, defended leading financial institutions in high-stakes Ponzi scheme and RICO litigation, and served as the lead defense attorney for a transportation company in right of publicity litigation. Aaron has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2015-2019.

Aaron Marienthal attended the University of San Francisco School of Law, where they earned their J.D., cum laude. Aaron also attended UC Santa Barbara, where they earned their B.A. with High Honors in Psychology and Law & Society.
