Denisse Becerra

Denisse is PayJoy’s General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer, primarily focusing on building and expanding the global legal and compliance organization. Denisse brings over 20 years of international corporate legal experience offering trusted legal and strategic advice on commercial and compliance aspects in multiple industries. Previously, she worked leading a corporate compliance reform in Peru and with Western Union as Associate General Counsel for the Americas, where she was responsible for the legal and regulatory strategy for 52 countries. Originally from Peru, Denisse is passionate about how PayJoy’s mission of bringing finance to similar markets can positively impact and change lives, one at a time. Denisse holds an LL.M. from George Washington University and a J.D. from Universidad de Lima. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
