Ivan Szpakowski

Ivan Szpakowski is an experienced data science and engineering leader with a robust background in building and scaling data infrastructure across various industries. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Data Science at PayPal, Ivan leads a global external data function focused on credit and risk. Previous roles include VP Data Engineering and AI at Curinos, where Ivan developed enterprise data infrastructures across multiple products and launched generative AI applications, and Head of Data and Growth at Rho, where a significant revenue increase was achieved through the establishment of a modern data organization and fraud mitigation strategies. Additional experience encompasses leadership roles at Capital One, Hartree Partners, Academia Capital, Citi, and Credit Suisse, where Ivan has consistently driven innovation, enhanced operational efficiencies, and improved decision-making through advanced data analytics and machine learning applications.
