Global leader in infection prevention products and solutions PDI, has announced the appointment of Jody Hatcher, former President of Vizient's Supply Chain Services to the company's board of directors.

PDI has seen steady growth in recent years as it has expanded to the acute healthcare, environmental services, alternate healthcare site, and food safety markets globally. The company has also seen strong growth from partnerships as well as acquisitions. Hatcher will look to help advise PDI as the company navigates the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hatcher brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in healthcare to PDI's board of directors. He most recently served as the Vice President of Supply Chain Services at Vizient, the largest member-driven, healthcare performance improvement company in the U.S. Before that, he served as President and CEO of Novation (acquired by Vizient), a leading provider of healthcare analytics solutions.

Dr. Regina Benjamin Appointed to PDI Board

Healthcare company PDI has added former U.S. Surgeon General Regina Benjamin to its board of directors. Dr. Benjamin has comprehensive experience promoting health for individuals and wider national communities, and she will play an important role in helping to advance PDI’s infection prevention solutions. “We are proud to welcome Dr. Regina Benjamin to our board of directors, particularly during this time when PDI continues to play a critical role in supplying essential cleaning and disinfecting products and technology solutions to help protect lives worldwide during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said PDI Chief Executive Officer Zachary T. Julius. “As PDI evolves and expands, Dr. Benjamin’s career in public health service and expertise as a physician will be invaluable in helping us to successfully execute our long-term strategic growth plans.” Dr. Benjamin served as the 18th U.S. Surgeon General between 2009 and 2013. She is a family physician, founder of Bayou La Batre Rural Health Clinic and a national leader in population and preventive health issues. She currently serves on several corporate boards, and has previously chaired the National Prevention Council, made up of 17-cabinet-level heads of federal agencies. “I am honored to be joining the board of this innovative, family-owned organization that has been at the forefront of infection prevention for decades,” said Dr. Benjamin. “Amid this current public health crisis, there is an even greater need to keep communities safe and protected.
