Gio Giovannelli

President, English Language Learning at Pearson

Gio Giovannelli is the current President of English Language Learning at Pearson. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Director at Hertz from January 2019 to August 2020. Their responsibilities there included developing long-range strategic forecasts, annual operating plans, monthly forecasts, and performance assessments. Gio also compiled reports, presented data, and supported the board of directors. During their time at Hertz, Giovannelli was responsible for establishing a governance structure to evaluate and measure return on investment for 85+ investments. Gio also cut $14M third-party labor costs by restructuring outsourced resource model for 2020. In addition, they partnered with technology development team to create business case to establish global engineering center of excellence to drive future revenue growth +$30M. On track to reduce third-party digital development costs by $50M, Giovannelli co-led the implementation of Network-as-a-Service operating model to transform on-premise infrastructure across top revenue-generating airports and rental locations, driving $5M in 2019 network savings.

Gio Giovannelli has a Master of Science (M.S.) Management & Technology from New York University with a Concentration: Strategy & Leadership. Gio also has a Bachelors of Science in Economics-Finance from Bentley University.
