James Giles

James Giles is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in application support and systems engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Application Support Engineer at Petco since May 2020, James is part of the Production Stability Team, focusing on the security, reliability, and availability of applications supporting Point of Sale systems. Prior to this role, James held various positions at IBM, where monitoring solutions for managed services and hybrid cloud applications were developed, and at Verizon Enterprise Solutions, where significant improvements in monitoring and migration to virtual systems were achieved. James began the career as a NOC Technician at Digex/MCI, consistently demonstrating high compliance with service level agreements. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
