Petra McGuirk Consultancy
As the Director of Petra McGuirk Consultancy, I can share over twenty years experience as a HR Generalist Professional working in both strategic and operational HR service delivery across private and public sectors and have gained a wealth of experience in managing many complex HR and ER issues. I have experience of managing teams and developing HR solutions in diverse multi-cultural, multi-site and start up environments. I adopt a results orientated approach and has successfully completed a number of Employee Relations, restructuring and change management projects. I am committed to excellence, high performance and continual personal development and specialise in employee relations focusing on both individual and collective relationships in the workplace. I focus on direct forms of resolution and specialise in mediation to help line managers establish trust-based relationships with employees. I promote a positive climate of employee relations that cultivate high levels of employee involvement, commitment and engagement which improves your business outcomes as well as contribute to employees' wellbeing. Why use Mediation? Conflict is inevitable. No matter how we choose to avoid conflict it always seems to find its way in our personal and business lives. Mediation is Voluntary, Confidential and proven to work as the most informal alternative disputes resolution. More and more people use mediation because it works. In fact, I can't think of a more effective way to solve any dispute. Mediation creates an atmosphere in which participants gain understanding, begin to be understood and ultimately work together to explore options of resolution - sometimes seeing things from a different perspective.
