Elyse Cheung-Sutton

Elyse Cheung-Sutton is a Senior Data Scientist at Pacific Gas and Electric Company since August 2021, previously serving as a Data Science Fellow at 11th Hour Project, where significant contributions included training a deep learning language model and developing data visualizations. Prior experience includes roles as a Geographic Information System Specialist for the City of Sacramento, where over 50 geospatial datasets were managed and automated workflows improved efficiency, and as an Energy Analyst for the California Energy Commission, focusing on grant agreements and economic evaluations of alternative fuel projects. Earlier roles include supporting environmental data analyses at the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment and supervising a computer lab at UC Davis. Elyse holds a Master of Science in Data Science from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science & Management from the University of California, Davis.
