The discussion revolved around bringing businesses and child care facilities together to help guarantee high-quality programs as Florida reopens amid the COVID-19 pandemic. At the event, Debbie Lapinski voiced PGT Innovations’ vision to help with the cost of healthcare and child care, which remains a leading inhibitor for many of Florida’s health care facilities.
“The Florida Prosperity Initiative believes business leaders must engage their employees and their local communities at the zip code level if we are to accomplish our goal of cutting in half Florida’s under-18 poverty rate by 2030,” said Michael Williams, the Director of the Florida Chamber Foundation Prosperity Initiative. “We are thrilled to have Debbie LaPinska on our panel of experts to share PGT’s innovative solution to the child care and health care needs of their employees.”
In a press release, Lapinski said, “When speaking to our team members regarding their biggest challenges, the costs of housing, child care, and health care always top the list. Our leadership team recognizes the importance of serving the community, working families, and our employees and made it our mission to fulfill this impactful vision to help our team members and most importantly, the children.”
