Larry Weeks

A native Arizonan with a Master of Business Administration from Webster University and Bachelor of Arts from Arizona State University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University, he has served in leadership roles in public education and the public sector for over twenty years. Prior to being named CEO & Superintendent of Phoenix District #1, Dr. Weeks was Assistant Superintendent of Business Services where he was responsible for the management of information systems, maintenance, transportation, human resources and child nutrition.

Dr. Weeks is well known for his expertise in school finance and fiscal responsibility. He led the District through a comprehensive and rigorous planning and auditing process to develop the 2025 Strategic Plan to build the curriculum, infrastructure and technology that will provide state of the art learning environments across the District classrooms and campuses. He leads his teams to find effective ways to drive the maximum resources to the classroom to ensure academic success for each and every student served and provide a rewarding and healthy work environment for all staff members.
