Oleg Babanov

Oleg Babanov is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Head of Eastern Europe and Private Banker at Pictet Group since August 2021. Prior to this role, Oleg held the position of SVP Emerging Markets Fixed Income Equity Advisory at Lombard Odier Group from November 2018 to August 2021. Experience also includes a tenure as Senior Strategist for Emerging Markets Equity at BCA Research, where responsibilities encompassed content development for publications and client servicing. Earlier roles include Equity Research Analyst at City of London Investment Management Company Ltd, various positions at Bloomberg LP focusing on Oil & Gas majors and CIS analytics, and an Analyst role in Commodities and EM Credit Research at Credit Suisse. Oleg began a career in finance as a Portfolio Manager in a Family Office and has an academic background with a MA in Economics from UCL, a BSc in Economics and Management from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Diploma in Volkswirtschaftslehre from the University of Cologne.
