Joanna joined Picus in 2022 as Head of Investor Relations and Fundraising in the Growth team. She is responsible for fundraising activities, managing LP relationships, and driving global business development efforts.

Prior to Picus, Joanna worked at Schroders Capital on the private assets distribution team where she drove new client acquisition and cross-selling strategies. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and an MBA from the Imperial College of London.

Joanna Koczuk

Patrick Hermann is an investor at [Picus Capital](/org/picus-capital). Previously, they worked as an investment analyst at [Picus Capital](/org/picus-capital), Horváth & Partners Management Consultants, and EY. Patrick also worked as a financial analyst at DZ BANK AG.

Patrick Hermann has a Master of Science in Management & Technology from the Technical University of Munich, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from [Copenhagen Business School](/org/copenhagen-business-school). Patrick also has a Bachelor of Science in Management & Technology from the Technical University of Munich.

Patrick Hermann

Abhijay joined Picus in 2021 as an independent Investment Advisor to focus on the India's investments. Prior to joining Picus, he worked for Citi in the Investment Banking division in Mumbai where he advised institutional clients on M&A and capital markets transactions across emerging technology, financial services, industrials, and infrastructure industries.

Abhijay holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), and a bachelor's degree in economics from NMIMS.

Abhijay Thacker

Vitali joined Picus in 2021 as Head of Finance. In this role, he is responsible for their performance controlling, treasury and accounting & tax compliance.

Prior to joining Picus, Vitali worked at Scout24, ProSiebenSat.1, KPMG and Deloitte where he led different departments and worked on transformation projects and complex finance topics with his teams.

Vitali holds an MBA in Finance and completed the German auditor exam (Wirtschaftsprüfer).

Vitali Harwardt

Cristina joined Picus as Partner and Head of Nordics in 2022 and is based in their Stockholm office. She leads their investments in the Nordic start-up ecosystem. Prior to joining Picus, she worked for the Swedish healthcare company Kry as VP Operations and was responsible for leading Kry’s international expansion. Before that, Cristina gathered experience as a Managing Director in another health start-up and as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group.

Cristina holds a master’s degree from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management as well as a doctoral degree in Health Economics.

Cristina Koehn

Santiago joined Picus Americas as Partner and Head of Latin America in 2022, and is currently based in New York. He leads their investment efforts across Latin America and the establishment of their offices in São Paulo and Mexico City.

Prior to joining Picus, Santiago was Vice President on the Firmwide Management team at D.E. Shaw & Co. and led Strategy & Business Operations at music creator start-up Splice. Previously, he was part of the Strategy & Analysis team at Spotify. Santiago started his career at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he worked in the M&A Group, the Office of the Chairman as Chief of Staff to the President & COO, and the Emerging Markets Investment Banking Group with a focus on Latin America.

Santiago holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BA in Economics from Harvard College.

Santiago Dañino Beck

Julius joined Picus in 2022 as an Investment Advisor for the crypto/web3 space. He has been investing and building in crypto since 2012 and co-hosts a podcast covering trends in this area called "Alles Coin, Nichts Muss". Prior to that, he worked as Investment Associate at UVC Partners and as Consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Julius holds a bachelor’s degree in socioeconomics from the Universität Hamburg and a master’s degree in Finance and Information Management from the University of Augsburg and the Technical University of Munich.

Julius Nagel

Tatjana joined Picus in 2022 as Finance & Accounting Manager. Before joining Picus, Tatjana gathered practical experience as an accountant at FGK Clinical Research and as group accountant for Dr. August Oetker KG.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in business law from the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld.

Tatjana Spenst

Constantin joined Picus in 2022 as Finance Manager. Before joining Picus, he worked at Keyou as Financial Controller and was a research assistant at the Fraunhofer Institut.

Constantin holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Engineering and Management both from the University of Applied Sciences Munich.

Constantin Seuß

Franz joined Picus in 2022 as Senior Legal Counsel. Prior to joining Picus, Franz worked as a senior legal counsel at N26 where he was responsible for all corporate and regulatory law matters. Before that, Franz worked at the international business law firm Noerr where he advised on a broad range of corporate law matters, with a focus on venture capital and private equity transactions.

Franz is a fully qualified German lawyer. He studied at the University of Freiburg, at Bahçeşehir University in Istanbul and at the Free University of Berlin.

Franz Hahn

Lara joined Picus in 2021 as HR Manager. Prior to joining Picus, she worked for a Management and HR consultancy in Munich as HR Manager focusing on all operational HR topics for medium-sized clients. This included the mapping of employee lifecycles as well as payroll and the strategic work on HR management topics.

Lara graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Munich and a master's degree in Intercultural Communication from the International University SDI München.

Lara Hehrlein

Alessandro joined Picus in 2020 as an Analyst. Before joining Picus, he gathered practical experience in consulting at [McKinsey & Company](/org/mckinsey-company), investment banking, and the automotive sector.

Alessandro graduated from the Technical University of Munich with a Bachelor's degree in Management & Technology.

Alessandro Kopp

Cynthia joined Picus as a Senior HR Manager in 2021. Located in Munich, she supports our HR team and manages the on-/offboarding processes as well as the recruitment of new team colleagues. Prior to that, Cynthia gathered practical experience at Studyflix as an Executive Assistant and at Juzo as an Event Manager. Cynthia graduated from the University of Augsburg with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Cynthia Haug

Lucia joined Picus in 2020 as a Human Resources Team Lead. Prior to joining Picus, she worked for the Boston Consulting Group in Munich for several years, with a focus on recruiting, staffing, and internal HR projects. Among other responsibilities, she was in charge of hiring top talents from all backgrounds and led various recruiting initiatives encouraging an inclusive workplace.

Lucia graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich and a Master's degree in International Management from the [Maastricht University](/org/maastricht-university).

Lucia Paskert

Julia joined Picus as an Executive Assistant in 2021. As part of her role, she manages all administrative needs related to the daily work of our Founding Partner Robin and ensures a smooth running of daily office tasks. Prior to that, she gathered practical experience at [DataGuard](/org/dataguard) and [Ted Baker](/org/ted-baker) in London and completed a hotel management apprenticeship at Platzl Hotel in Munich.

Julia Leipold

Stefan joined Picus in 2022 as a Recruiting Specialist. Prior to that, he worked as Talent Scout at Talent Tree and gathered practical experience as a working student at Hays. His tasks at Picus include internal and external recruiting.

Stefan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Management and Technology and a master’s degree in Consumer Science both from the Technical University of Munich.

Stefan Haller

Alexander joined Picus China as Partner and Head of China in 2021. He manages their operations in the Greater China region out of Beijing. Prior to joining Picus China, he was a Director in JD.com´s online grocery division and worked at Mobvoi, McKinsey & Company and IBM.

In the past, he was named 30 Under 30 by Forbes China. Alexander is a graduate from the Schwarzman Scholars program at Tsinghua University.

Alexander Kremer

Raphael joined Picus in 2021 to support their portfolio companies in growth stages with their growth strategies, raising equity and debt financing, preparing for public markets, and M&A opportunities. Prior to that, he worked at the private equity fund Stirling Square Capital Partners in London and as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Munich.

Raphael holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a master’s degree from WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management.

Raphael Mukomilow

Sherry joined Picus China in 2022 as an Office and HR Manager. Located in Beijing, she supports their China office with all HR-related topics as well as running their back-office.

Before that, she worked as a recruiter for ByteDance and was an Associate at Korn Ferry.

Sherry graduated from McGill University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Economics and a master’s degree in International and Development Economics from Yale University.

Sherry Yin

Francesca joined Picus Americas in 2022 as an Office and HR Manager. Located in New York, she ensures both a smooth running of their office as well as the management of all HR-related topics in the Americas.
Prior to joining Picus, Francesca worked at fintech start-up N26 as Office Manager and at Giorgetti USA in PR & Marketing and in Sales.

Francesca graduated from the Universita di Firenze with a bachelor’s degree in Media and Journalism.

Francesca Piras

Martin joined Picus in 2022 as Junior Finance Manager. Before joining Picus, Martin gathered practical experience working for a tax advisor.

He completed his professional training as a tax accountant at the vocational school in Landshut.

Martin Senger

Ben joined Picus as Head of Legal in 2021. In this role, he provides legal oversight and advice on the firm’s global investment activities. Prior to joining Picus, Ben was general counsel and senior vice-president of a private equity fund. He has also worked at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in Palo Alto, Bennett Jones LLP in Toronto and a boutique venture capital law firm.

Ben has earned an LL.B from Osgoode Hall Law School and an H.B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Ben Gliksman

Diana joined Picus as a Finance Manager in 2021. She takes care of their finance-related topics.

Prior to that, she gathered practical experience at Milbank LLP as an assistant to Management and holds a diploma in Economics from the University of Applied Sciences Mittweida.

Diana Müller

Alexander joined Picus in 2022 as Finance Manager. Prior to that, he worked in Corporate Treasury Sales at UniCredit and as Junior Treasury Controller at MeinAuto Management GmbH.

Alexander holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business and Management from the University of Applied Sciences Bochum and a master’s degree in Business Analytics from the Manchester Metropolitan University.

Alexander Rauls

Hannah joined Picus in 2022 as an Executive Assistant. As part of her role she manages all administrative needs and daily tasks of their Pre-Seed Partner Olli. Prior to joining Picus, she gained experience as an Event Manager for Builtworld.

Hannah holds a bachelor’s degree in Management and Tourism from the University of Applied Sciences Munich.

Hannah Papadopoulos

Alexander founded [Picus Capital](/org/picus-capital) together with Jeremias in 2015. He is an experienced entrepreneur and technology investor. Prior to starting Picus, he co-founded several successful ventures, among them the European Founders Fund, where he was an early investor in companies like [Zalando](/org/zalando) and [LinkedIn](/org/linkedin).

Alexander graduated from the [University of Oxford](/org/university-of-oxford) and holds an MBA from [Harvard Business School](/org/harvard-business-school).

Alexander Samwer

Moritz joined Picus as an Associate in 2020. Located in Munich he supports the pre-seed portfolio companies regarding business model validation, operational set-up and growth. Prior to joining Picus, he gathered practical experience in strategy consulting at [McKinsey & Company](/org/mckinsey-company) and in various operational banking departments at KfW and [Deutsche Bank](/org/deutsche-bank).

Moritz graduated from [University College London](/org/ucl) with a Master’s degree in Business Analytics.

Moritz Kittler

Katryna joined Picus in 2020 as a Senior Communications & Marketing Manager. Prior to joining, she worked at [Oliver Wyman](/org/oliver-wyman) in Munich for three years, with a focus on PR and marketing campaigns for the practice groups Energy, Retail and Consumer Goods as well as Financial Services. Her tasks included placing [Oliver Wyman](/org/oliver-wyman) in the top tier business and daily press, managing corporate social media, and developing thought leadership content across several industries.

Katryna graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in European Studies and French from the University of Manchester in the UK and a Master’s degree in Communications from [Sciences Po](/org/sciences-po) in Paris.

Katryna Nolan

Daniel joined Picus in 2020 as a Vice President with a focus on our pre-seed investments in North and South America. Prior to joining Picus, Daniel worked on the Investment Banking Team at [Goldman Sachs](/org/goldman-sachs) in Los Angeles and Frankfurt where he advised global enterprises and financial investors on strategic transactions in the technology, retail, automotive, renewable energy, chemicals/pharma, and engineering/construction industries. In addition, Daniel gathered practical experience in large- and mid-market corporate finance and transaction advisory as well as in equity research.

Daniel holds a BS in business administration from the [University of Mannheim](/org/university-of-mannheim) in Germany.

Daniel Niklas

Bastian joined Picus in 2019 during his studies and started as an Investment Associate in 2020 and focuses on our pre-seed investments. Bastian supports our pre-seed investments, especially regarding marketing, sales as well as operations related topics. Before that, Bastian gathered practical experience working for startups, in management consulting and engineering.

Bastian graduated from ETH Zurich with a Master's degree in Management, Technology and Economics.

Bastian Hasslinger

Florian joined Picus in 2017 and started building our portfolio in emerging markets next to our core markets Europe and North America. Prior to that, he worked for The Boston Consulting Group in Zurich with a focus on corporate & innovation strategy, organizational restructuring and digitalization topics. Before, he gathered practical experience in investment banking, private banking/wealth management and the automotive sector.

Florian Reichert

Robin joined Picus as a Founding Partner in 2016 and started growing our team as Managing Director. Prior to that, he worked for [McKinsey & Company](/org/mckinsey-company) in Munich where he was in particular involved in marketing & sales, digital customer experience and lean services topics. Before, he gathered practical experience in financial markets & equity sales, asset management and the industrial sector.

Robin Godenrath

Julian joined Picus Americas as a Partner in 2020 and manages our Americas operations out of the Picus office in New York. Prior to joining Picus, he worked for [Credit Suisse](/org/credit-suisse) in the Investment Banking and Capital Markets division in New York and London. At [Credit Suisse](/org/credit-suisse) Julian advised Financial Services and FinTech clients on M&A as well as private and public financing transactions. Prior to that, Julian gathered practical experience in Private Capital, Investing and Consulting and obtained an IHK Bankkaufmann degree.

Julian Roeoes

Patrick joined Picus in 2020 as a Vice President with a primary focus on our portfolio in North and South America. Prior to joining Picus, he worked for [Goldman Sachs](/org/goldman-sachs) in the Investment Banking Division in Frankfurt. At [Goldman Sachs](/org/goldman-sachs) Patrick advised clients on M&A transactions and initial public offerings in the technology, industrials, health care and energy space. Prior to that, Patrick gathered practical experience in mid-market transaction advisory as well as private equity.

Patrick graduated from the London School of Economics with a Master’s degree in Finance and Private Equity.

Patrick Sonnleitner

Jeremias founded Picus together with Alexander in 2015. Having led large renewable energy and real estate investments in Europe within his function as founder of several companies in this space, he brings a lot of infrastructure expertise to our team. Prior to that, he gathered practical experience in the consulting, construction and infrastructure industry.

Jeremias graduated from the Technical University of Munich with a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering and Business Administration.

Jeremias Heinrich

Niclas joined Picus in 2018 during his studies and started as an Investment Associate in 2020. Located in New York, he is part of the pre-seed investment team and supports founders in validating their business models and setting up their operations. Prior to that he gathered practical experience in high-growth startups, consulting and Design Thinking.

Niclas graduated from the University of St. Gallen with a Master’s degree in Business Innovation.

Oliver joined Picus in 2017 and is responsible for our pre-seed stage portfolio companies.
