Jules Testard

Jules Testard has a strong background in software engineering and technology, with experience in both industry and academia. Jules is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Piepacker, a role they have held since February 2020. Prior to that, Jules worked as a Senior Software Engineer at MadHive from June 2019 to March 2020. Jules also worked as a Software Engineer at Docker, Inc from September 2017 to June 2019, and at Amazon Web Services from March 2016 to September 2017. Jules began their career as a Research Assistant at École Normale Supérieure de Cachan in 2011, and has since gained experience through internships at Yelp and Informatica, as well as a Summer Technology Analyst position at Morgan Stanley. Jules is currently on leave from UC San Diego, where they were pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science and working on an SQL++ query processor as part of the FORWARD project.

Jules Testard completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science from Lycee International Francais between 2005 and 2009. From 2009 to 2013, Testard pursued a B.Sc Honours in Computer Science from McGill University. Finally, between 2013 and 2015, Testard obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science from UC San Diego.
