Thomas A. Davis

Thomas A. Davis is the current Chief of Staff at Pima Community College. Thomas has held this position since July 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Special Assistant to the Chancellor / Executive Director at Pima Community College from July 2018 to January 2019.

Before their work at Pima Community College, Thomas A. Davis was the Director of Public Affairs at UNITED STATES AFRICA COMMAND from June 2011 to June 2014. In this role, they were responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of a synchronized communication strategy that encompassed all U.S. military activities on the continent of Africa. Thomas was also an integral member of the senior management team and reported directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), a four-star Army General.

Throughout their career, Thomas A. Davis has shown himself to be a skilled communicator, able to effectively interact with national and international media during routine and crisis communication activities. Thomas is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in developing and executing communication strategies at the national and international level.

Thomas A. Davis has a MS in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College and a MS in Public Relations from Boston University. Thomas also has a BS in Criminal Justice from Portland State University.

Thomas A. Davis reports to Lee D. Lambert, Chancellor. They are on a team with Nicola Richmond - Vice Chancellor for Strategy, Analytics and Research, Jeffrey Silvyn - General Counsel, and Isaac Abbs - Assistant Vice Chancellor, IT & CIO.
