Attila Jakab

Attila Jakab has a diverse work experience in software engineering, starting with their current position as the Director of Software Engineering at Pinsight. In this role, they are responsible for leading the development team and managing the software solutions for Pinsight's talent management SaaS platform. At Pinsight, they also played a significant role in migrating the platform to Microsoft Azure cloud and implementing a fully automated CI/CD pipeline using Azure DevOps.

Prior to joining Pinsight, Attila worked as a Software Engineer at Visma Labs, where they contributed to full-stack web development projects in the e-commerce industry. Attila was responsible for developing and maintaining B2B marketplace and transport administration platforms using PHP, Laravel, Symfony, Slim, MySQL, Docker, and JavaScript.

Before Visma Labs, Attila gained experience as a Senior Software Engineer at GlobalLogic Slovakia, where they worked on data analysis and e-commerce projects. Attila utilized technologies such as Python, Flask, REST APIs, Docker, microservices, graph DBs (Neo4j), Vue.js, jQuery, Bootstrap, and Java.

Attila has also worked as a Lecturer at Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information (SCSTI), a Software Engineer at NESS KDC, and a Freelance Web Application Developer at 2BCognitus. In these roles, they gained further experience in teaching, web application development, and collaborating with project management consulting companies.

Attila'searlier work experience includes a Junior Developer role at Delito s.r.o, where they developed QR code-based ordering, reservation, and service presentation systems using PHP and Laravel. Attila also had part-time roles as an ICT Administrator at T-Systems Slovakia and as an IT Technician at 1st Private Hospital Košice-Šaca Inc.

Throughout their career, Attila has demonstrated strong technical skills in various technologies and frameworks, along with leadership and management capabilities in leading development teams and delivering software solutions.

Attila Jakab holds a Master's degree in Informatics from the Technical University of Košice, which they obtained from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their high school education as a Mechanist of computer networks at SOŠ Ostrovkého 1 in Košice from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, they have earned several certifications including Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, AWS Developer - Associate, Cisco CCNA Security 640-554, Cisco CCNA Routing & Switching 200-120, and a Certificate in Electrician.
