Weston Appelfeller

Weston Appelfeller is a seasoned professional in the field of turf management and grounds operations, currently serving as Market Technical Advisor at Pioneer Athletics since June 2023. Prior experience includes significant roles at Austin FC from January 2019 to May 2023, where Weston held titles such as VP of Performance Center Operations and Grounds, VP of Grounds, and Senior Director of Grounds. Prior to that, Weston was Senior Director of Grounds at Columbus Crew SC from January 2012 to December 2018, and held the position of Assistant Groundskeeper at Philadelphia Union from May 2011 to January 2012. Weston's career began as Grounds Manager for the Boston Red Sox from March 2008 to May 2011. Educationally, Weston earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Turf Grass Science from The Ohio State University between 2002 and 2006.
