Ophelia Pedersen is a product manager at Plant Jammer. Ophelia has also worked as a recipe developer, vegan pastry chef, research associate, and events & sponsorship intern.

Ophelia's interest in food began early on in their life. As a child, they loved helping their mother cook and bake. This led to their studying gastronomy in college. After graduation, they worked as a research associate for a biopharmaceutical company. While they enjoyed the work, they wanted to do something more creative. This led their to become a vegan pastry chef. Ophelia loved coming up with new recipes and menu ideas for the cafe they worked at.

In 2020, they began working at Plant Jammer as a recipe developer. Ophelia quickly rose through the ranks and is now a product manager. In this role, they are responsible for building recipe frameworks and gastronomical algorithms for an AI-based recipe platform. Ophelia also applies principles of food science and nutrition to define ingredient functionality, flavor matching, ratios, and preparation methods.

Ophelia Pedersen started their educational career by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science from UC Berkeley. Ophelia then went on to obtain a Master of Science in Food Science from Københavns Universitet. After completing their Master Thesis in Food Science at the University of Montpellier, they became an Exchange Student at Universidad de Granada. Finally, they obtained certifications from Lynda.com in Learning MATLAB and Web Development Foundations: Web Technologies, as well as from the National Restaurant Association in ServSafe Food Manager and California ServSafe Food Handler.

They are on a team with Oliver Skjønnemand - Sr. Product Manager, Anders Ravn - Frontend Developer, and Jura Brazdil - Backend Developer. Ophelia Pedersen reports to Michael Haase, CEO & Founder.
