Senior Backend Engineer

Job Description

Playground Labs is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build the backbone of cutting-edge metaverse technologies, bringing to life the next generation of web3 products. Backend Engineers who are experienced with building applications, are excited about web3 and metaverse opportunities (including crypto play to earn gaming), and possess a desire to contribute to a smart, nimble team will excel in this role.

Playground Labs' Backend Engineers will design and implement REST APIs using Python frameworks for web3 products. Our backend tech stack is primarily in Python with FastAPI, supported by MySQL, and deployed on AWS.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and implement backends for web3 products
• Implement REST API with Python
• Integrate backends with web3, blockchains, DAOs, and smart contracts

Required

• Fluent in the following technologies: Python, SQL, MySQL
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure
• Familiarity with devops processes, deploying, and testing applications
• Two or more years of professional software engineering experience
• Three references

**Preferred **

• Experience with Python Flask, Django, FastAPI, or other API framework
• Participant in open-source software
• Participation in Ethereum blockchain projects
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics
