Vess Bakalow

Vess Bakalow is the founder and CEO of Pliant. Vess has over fifteen years of experience in the technology industry, with a focus on big data and IoT.

Bakalow began their career as a network architect at JP Morgan Chase in 2001. Vess then became a technical advisor at Conectiv in 1999. In 2005, they joined SevOne Inc. as the company's CTO and EVP of Product. Vess was also a founder and board member at SevOne. During their time at SevOne, Bakalow was instrumental in structuring the organization, obtaining financing, and working on strategic corp-dev initiatives including M&A transactions and strategic partnerships. Vess was also very involved with the company's go-to-market strategy, including pricing, working with prospects and customers in all phases of the product sale life-cycle.

In 2016, Bakalow left SevOne to start Pliant. Pliant is a data platform that helps organizations make sense of their data by providing a unified view of all their data sources. The platform also includes tools for data discovery, data visualization, and data analysis.

Vess Bakalow graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Delaware.
