Lina Xu has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Lina began their career as an Intern Engineer at Shenyang Blower Works Group Co. Ltd, where they gained hands-on experience and knowledge in the design and production of centrifugal compressors. Lina then worked as a Research Assistant at Xi'an Jiaotong University, where they numerically developed heat transfer models using the finite element method.
Lina continued their research work as a Research Assistant at the University of Pittsburgh, focusing on the modeling of multi-phase flow through a novel computational fluid dynamics approach. Lina proposed a new boundary condition that improved the accuracy and stability of the models.
In 2014, Lina joined FS-Elliott as an Aero Engineer, where they contributed to the company for more than six years. At FS-Elliott, they played a vital role in the design and development of aerospace engines.
Most recently, Lina joined Plug Power as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in 2021, where they currently hold a position. Overall, Lina Xu's work experience demonstrates their expertise in mechanical engineering, research, and computational modeling.
Lina Xu received their Bachelor's degree in an unspecified field of study from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2006. Lina then pursued a Master's degree at the same university and completed it in 2009. Later, Lina Xu attended the University of Pittsburgh, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering in 2014.
