William Hylton

William Hylton is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in electrical and electronic systems within the automotive industry. Currently serving as the Head of Electrical and Electronics and Head of Software and Electronics at Polestar since August 2019, William has held multiple roles including Chief Engineer for Electrical Systems. Prior to Polestar, William worked at Emerald Automotive from December 2015 to August 2019 as Engineering Manager for Electrical, Principal Engineer for Software and Chassis Electronics, and Project Manager and Systems Engineer focusing on Chassis Electronics. Additional experience includes a Key Account Manager position at ETAS from October 2014 to December 2015, and various engineering roles at Bosch from September 2005 to October 2014, where responsibilities spanned project management for chassis electronics and development engineering for stability control systems. Earlier in William's career, experience was gained as a Quality Engineer at ThyssenKrupp. William holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Liverpool.
