Klaus Geiger

Klaus Geiger currently serves as the Senior Executive Editor for POLITICO Deutschland at POLITICO Europe, a position held since January 2025. Prior to this role, Klaus was with WeltN24 GmbH from February 2011 to January 2025, where responsibilities included Head of Foreign Desk, Global Coordination of Axel Springer Brands, Managing Editor of the LENA Media Alliance, News Editor, and Senior Editor and Reporter for the Economics Department. Earlier in Klaus's career, positions included Senior Editor and Reporter in the Economics Department at AFP, as well as Editor on the Foreign Desk and Correspondent for East Germany, starting as a Trainee. Klaus holds a Master’s degree in European and Ancient History from the University of Regensburg and a Diploma in German as a Foreign Language, with additional educational experiences at various prestigious institutions, including Sapienza Università di Roma and Moscow State University.
