Victoria Houed is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in technology and public policy. Currently serving as the Director of AI Policy and Strategy at the U.S. Department of Commerce, Victoria supports the Chief Data Officer on AI initiatives. Simultaneously, Victoria holds the position of Senior Advisor at POPVOX Foundation, driving tech modernization efforts within government. Previously, as a Congressional Innovation Fellow in the Office of Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Victoria provided strategic advice on various pressing issues, contributed to significant legislation, and participated in international dialogues on platform disinformation. Additionally, Victoria founded BlackByte, a nonprofit supporting black women in tech, and has a background as a software engineer and product manager at Cards Against Humanity. Victoria earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
