Mardi Dier

Mardi Dier is the EVP, CFO & Chief Business Officer at Portola Pharmaceuticals. Mardi has over 25 years of experience in the life sciences industry.

Dier began their career as a senior accountant at KPMG. Mardi then transitioned to investment banking and held various positions at Prudential Securities and Financial Trust Pvt Ltd and Chiron Corporation. In 2006, they joined Portola Pharmaceuticals as EVP, CFO and Head of BD. During their time at Portola, they were instrumental in the company's growth and expansion. In July 2020, Portola was acquired by Alexion.

Since August 2017, Dier has also served on the board of directors for Adamas Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Mardi Dier has an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from Stanford University.

Their manager is Scott Garland, President and Chief Executive Officer. Mardi Dier works with Rajiv Patni - EVP, Chief Medical Officer, Sheldon Koenig - EVP & Chief Commercial Officer, and Glenn Brame - EVP & Chief Technical Operations Officer.
