Thirumalai Gobu is a Lead Software Engineer at Poshmark since May 2023, previously serving as a Senior Software Development Engineer at BNY Mellon from June 2017 to January 2023. In this role, Thirumalai was a key member of the core technical group for Global Segregation Tech, focusing on enhancing operational strategies through a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Thirumalai's expertise includes building scalable backend systems, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines, along with mentoring junior team members. Prior experience includes contributions to the Collateral Segregation Reporting Platform during a strategic migration program, achieving significant performance improvements. Thirumalai began a career in software development as an intern at BNY Mellon, where efforts in upgrading reporting systems resulted in substantial cost savings. Thirumalai holds a Master of Technology in Data Science Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Bachelor of Engineering from Thiagarajar College of Engineering.
