Michael Leong

Michael Leong currently serves as Head of Finance and Planning at PPB Group Berhad since May 2025. Previously, Michael held various senior finance roles at UEM Edgenta Berhad from October 2017 to May 2025, including Senior General Manager Group Finance and Head of Centre of Excellence & Financial Management, where significant achievements included directing finance functions during a pivotal transition, implementing an ERP system, and managing substantial tax matters, among other strategic financial operations. Prior experience includes roles at Tropicana Corporation Berhad involving treasury management and asset acquisitions, as well as a managerial position at PureCircle USA focused on corporate planning and treasury operations. Early career foundations were established at Ernst & Young, where seven years were spent in assurance management. Educational credentials include a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from the University of London and ACCA certification.
