Daniel Connor

Daniel Connor serves as the Global Technical Director for PPG Automotive Refinish Coatings at PPG Industries, overseeing science and technology initiatives within the business since September 2013. Previously held positions include Associate Director of Global Synthesis, where responsibilities encompassed synthetic chemistry research and the management of technology transfer to business units. Additionally, in the role of Acting Technical Director for Asia Pacific, Daniel led R&D activities and established a Global Coatings Innovation Center in Tianjin, China. Daniel's prior experience includes roles as Director of Upstream R&D at Tredegar Film Products and Director of Technology Acquisition and Development Manager at Milliken. Daniel holds a Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry and polymer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, completed a short course at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management in 2017, and pursued undergraduate studies in Chemistry at Augusta State University.
