Tessa Maffucci

Tessa Maffucci serves as the Assistant Chair of the Fashion Department at Pratt Institute, where Tessa also holds positions as Assistant Professor and Departmental Sustainability Coordinator. Additionally, Tessa is a Board Advisor and Managing Director of Strategy at Custom Collaborative, an organization supporting women from low-income and immigrant communities in launching fashion careers. Tessa contributes as a Made in NYC Fellow and acts as Associate Editor for The Fashion Studies Journal, focusing on contemporary fashion scholarship. Past roles include Instructor at Parsons School of Design, Director of Marketing at W&P, and digital marketing positions at Trendalytics. Tessa's educational background includes an Advanced Certificate in Labor Studies from CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies and a Master's degree in Fashion Studies and Digital Humanities from The Graduate Center, CUNY.
