Janie Loftis

Janie Loftis serves as a Coding Documentation Quality Assurance Officer at Presbyterian Healthcare Services since January 2023, where responsibilities include auditing medical records for accuracy and educating medical providers on best practices. Previously, Janie held the position of Coding Team Lead/Auditor/Provider and Coder Educator at Digestive Health Partners from February 2019 to December 2022, overseeing a team of seven coders while ensuring proper coding practices. From November 2015 to October 2022, Janie was the Coding Team Lead/Coding and HIM Manager at MAHEC, managing 17 coders and HIM staff, and providing education on coding practices. Janie's career began at Women's Health Group, where roles included Insurance Coordinator focused on medical claims analysis and Medical Assistant supporting providers during exams. Janie holds an Associate's Degree in Medical Coding and Reimbursement from Bryant & Stratton College and a Certificate in Medical Assisting from Western Piedmont Community College.
