Porter Chelson

Don Mullen (Donald Mullen) is the Founder and CEO of Pretium, a company that he founded after leaving his role as a Partner at Goldman Sachs. At Pretium, Mullen leads the firm and is responsible for ensuring adherence to its investment philosophy, communicating closely with clients, and contributing his experience to strategic decisions surrounding investments and corporate direction.

Prior to founding Pretium, Don Mullen held several leadership positions at Goldman Sachs, including serving as a member of the Management Committee and Head of the Securities Division's Global Credit and Mortgage businesses. Mr. Mullen also served in senior leadership roles at Bear Stearns and is an active member of the Development Board at Yale University, where he received his BA in Economics.

In addition to being the CEO of Pretium, he also serves on the board of the Friends of the High Line.

Don Mullen

Laura Cappiello is a Senior Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer at Pretium, where she has overall responsibility for the Firm’s talent and people strategy, including recruiting, career development, employee relations and compensation & benefits.

Ms. Cappiello brings 20 years of experience, including more than 10 years as a senior human capital executive in premier investment management firms. Most recently, she served as Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer at Madison Dearborn Partners, where she oversaw the firm’s talent efforts, including recruiting, employee relations and diversity, equity & inclusion initiatives. Previously, Ms. Cappiello was the Head of Human Capital Management and Deputy General Counsel for BlueMountain Capital Management. Before joining BlueMountain, Ms. Cappiello was Head of Human Resources at Chilton Investment Company and previously led the campus legal recruiting effort at Sullivan & Cromwell. Ms. Cappiello began her career as a litigator at Willkie Farr & Gallagher.

Ms. Cappiello is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Politics from New York University, and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. She was named to Hedge Fund Journal’s 50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds 2018.

Laura Cappiello

Joshua Pristaw is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Real Estate at Pretium, where he plays a leadership role in Progress Residential, the Firm’s single-family rental platform, as well as for its single-family rental funds and separately managed accounts.

Mr. Pristaw joined Pretium in February 2022 and brings more than two decades of real estate experience across acquisitions, asset management, portfolio development, and capital markets. Prior to joining Pretium, Mr. Pristaw co-founded GTIS Partners, a real assets investment firm, where he worked for 17 years and most recently served as a Partner, Co-Head of GTIS Brazil, Head of Capital Markets, and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Previously, he was a Principal and Co-Head of Acquisitions for Coventry Real Estate Advisors and was also a member of Coventry’s Investment Committee.

Mr. Pristaw is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Brazil Hospitality Group, one of the largest owners and managers of hotels in Brazil, and on the Board of Directors of GTIS Brazil Logistics FII, an externally-managed real estate vehicle listed on the Bovespa in Brazil. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Dartmouth College.

Joshua Pristaw

Lauren Cipicchio is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Central Quantitative Strategies. Ms. Cipicchio oversees a group of structurers and quants, creating new investment product and expanding product models for existing and potential funds as part of the development and execution of Pretium’s asset investment strategy.

Ms. Cipicchio brings over a decade of experience in investment analytics and portfolio construction, including Head of Investment Engineering at Bridgewater Associates. She joins us from CPP Investments, where she served as a Managing Director on the Global Leadership Team as the Head of Data and Advanced Analytics. Pretium remains focused on technological innovation and Ms. Cipicchio will play an integral role in building modeling platforms that will serve as key competitive differentiators.

Ms. Cipicchio is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. Ms. Cipicchio earned a BASc, in Mathematics and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and later received a Master’s degree from New York University.

Lauren Cipicchio

Matthew Nichols is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Residential Credit at Pretium, where he is responsible for the build-out and management of the residential credit and whole loan business.

Mr. Nichols was also the CEO and Founder of Deephaven Mortgage. Mr. Nichols joined Pretium in 2019 with over 20 years of experience in mortgage whole loans including non-performing and reperforming loans. Prior to founding Deephaven, Mr. Nichols was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs where he ran the Residential Mortgage Loan Business. Over his twelve years at Goldman, Mr. Nichols built and ran multiple non-agency loan acquisition, origination, servicing, and securitization businesses.

Mr. Nichols is a member of Pretium’s Executive Committee. He holds a BA in Biochemistry from Amherst College.

Matthew Nichols

Ramki Ramaswamy is a Senior Managing Director and the Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Pretium. In this role, Mr. Ramaswamy will leverage technology across Pretium’s operating and portfolio companies to maintain the firm’s industry-leading competitive advantage and to drive additional business value as Pretium scales.

Mr. Ramaswamy brings more than two decades of experience overseeing the development and implementation of information technology and broader digital strategies across complex, high-growth businesses. Mr. Ramaswamy joins Pretium from Boeing, where he most recently served as the Chief Information Officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Prior to Boeing, Mr. Ramaswamy was the Vice President of IT, Technology and Integrations for JetBlue.

Mr. Ramaswamy is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. Mr. Ramaswamy holds a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology.

Ramki Ramaswamy

Jocelyn Moore is a Senior Managing Director at Pretium and is responsible for overseeing corporate affairs.

Ms. Moore joined Pretium in 2022 with more than 20 years of experience in corporate advisory, strategic communications, and public policy. Prior to joining Pretium, Ms. Moore was Executive Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs for the National Football League. As the NFL’s Chief Communications Officer, she was a member of the executive leadership team and oversaw corporate affairs at the 100-year-old professional sports league, including football communications, strategic communications, corporate communications, public policy and government affairs, and corporate social responsibility. Prior to the NFL, Ms. Moore was a Managing Director at Glover Park Group (now Finsbury Glover Hering) and spent 15 years working in senior leadership roles in the United States Senate.

Ms. Moore is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. Ms. Moore is a Director of DraftKings (Nasdaq: DKNG) and OppFi Inc. (NYSE: OPFI) and was appointed by the Biden Administration to serve on the board of the First Responder Network (FirstNet) Authority for public safety. She earned a BA in English and a Master of Education from the University of Florida.

Jocelyn Moore

Charlie Himmelberg is Senior Managing Director and Head of Macro Research at Pretium, where he has overall responsibility for global market research across all of the firm’s strategies, including real estate.

Mr. Himmelberg joined Pretium in 2020 with more than 25 years of experience in mortgage, credit, market, and policy research. Prior to joining Pretium, he spent 15 years Goldman Sachs & Co., most recently as Partner & Managing Director, Global Investment Research, responsible for the global market research teams in rates, FX, credit, mortgages, EM and macro equity; previously, he was head of global credit and mortgage research. Prior to joining Goldman, Mr. Himmelberg had a distinguished career in policy research and academia at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, Columbia University, New York University, and The University of Chicago.

Mr. Himmelberg is a member of Pretium’s Executive Committee. He received a BA in Economics and a BS in Mathematics from the University of Kansas, and a PhD in Economics from Northwestern University. Additionally, he serves as a trustee of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

Charles Himmelberg

Lee Alexander is a Senior Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer at Pretium, where he is responsible for the day-to-day business operations of the Firm. Since joining Pretium in 2015, Mr. Alexander has served in several critical roles as the Firm has grown.  Most recently, he has played an important role in reshaping and expanding Pretium’s residential credit businesses, including Pretium Mortgage Credit and Alta Residential.

Before joining Pretium in 2015, Mr. Alexander was a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for the Global Credit and Mortgage businesses at Goldman Sachs.  Prior to Goldman, he was a senior accountant at KPMG.

Mr. Alexander is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. Mr. Alexander received a BA in Accounting from Bucknell University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Chris Weidler is a Senior Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at Pretium, where he is responsible for the Firm’s accounting, reporting, and budgeting processes.

Mr. Weidler joined Pretium in 2017. Previously, he was Chief Accounting Officer and Controller for Apollo Global Management. Prior to Apollo, he was Managing Director and Financial Controller of the Americas at Barclays, where his roles included Global Head of U.S. GAAP Technical Accounting and Global Head of Financial Reporting. Mr. Weidler previously worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC.

Mr. Weidler is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. He holds a BS in Accounting from Villanova University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Chris Weidler

David Sabath is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the Corporate Opportunistic & Distressed Platform at Pretium. He is responsible for building and managing the Firm’s opportunistic and distressed corporate credit investing business.

Mr. Sabath joined Pretium through the acquisition of Latigo Partners by Pretium in 2020. Mr. Sabath co-founded Latigo Partners L.P. in 2005. Prior to Latigo, Mr. Sabath was a Managing Director for the Proprietary Positioning Business at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. Before J.P. Morgan, Mr. Sabath headed the Distressed Loan Research Group at Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining Goldman, Mr. Sabath was an analyst at Highbridge Capital. Mr. Sabath started his investment career serving as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Chase Manhattan Bank.

Mr. Sabath is a member of Pretium’s Executive Committee. He received a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Missouri and an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. Prior to earning his MBA, Mr. Sabath practiced as a CPA at KPMG. Mr. Sabath is on the charity board of Children’s Aid and Family Services.

David Sabath

Jennifer Strickland is a Senior Managing Director and Head of the Business Development Team based in Pretium’s New York City office. Ms. Strickland is responsible for driving our fundraising efforts, client strategy and management of the Business Development Team.

Ms. Strickland joined Pretium in 2020 with more than 20 years of experience in business development. Prior to joining Pretium, Ms. Strickland was an Executive Vice President with PIMCO responsible for marketing their Alternative Investment Products in the US and Canada. Prior to PIMCO, Ms. Strickland was a Managing Director at Blue Mountain Capital in New York and has also held Investor Relations and Marketing roles at HBK in Dallas, and Citibank in New York and Hong Kong. Ms. Strickland started her career at Morningstar in Chicago.

Ms. Strickland is a member of Pretium’s Executive Committee. Ms. Strickland earned a BA in Statistics and an MBA in Finance and International Business from The University of Chicago.

Jennifer Strickland

Jerry Ouderkirk is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Structured Credit at Pretium, where he has overall responsibility for the Firm’s corporate credit platform. In addition to overseeing and expanding the Firm’s CLO platform, Mr. Ouderkirk is building out numerous investing businesses across structured credit including Structured Corporate Credit and Distressed/ Opportunistic Credit.

Mr. Ouderkirk joined Pretium in 2017 with 20 years of experience building and committing capital around structured credit products and platforms.  Prior to joining Pretium, Mr. Ouderkirk was a Partner at Goldman Sachs, where he started the Institutional Lending Group for Goldman Sachs Bank USA which oversaw the Firm’s discretionary lending and investing in the bank. He previously served as Global Co-Head of Structured Credit Trading, where he oversaw multiple capital committing businesses and started Goldman’s CLO Trading business, which he ran for more than 12 years.

Mr. Ouderkirk is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. He received a BA with honors in English and Economics from Colgate University. Mr. Ouderkirk serves on the Board of CitySquash in New York.

Jerry Ouderkirk

George Marshman is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the Bank Loan and CLO Platform at Pretium, where he is responsible for the issuance and investments of the Firm’s Crown Point CLO Products, as well as other credit portfolios.

Mr. Marshman joined Pretium in 2017 as part of the acquisition of Valcour Capital Management where he was a co-founder and Managing Partner. Prior to Valcour, Mr. Marshman was co-founder and Chief Investment Officer for Aladdin Capital Management LLC where he was responsible for portfolio management of over $4 billion in bank loan securitizations and over $1 billion in other structured product assets. He was previously a Vice President and corporate bond trader at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Prior to that, he was a Vice President at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Marshman began his career at Orion Consultants.

Mr. Marshman is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. He received his BA from Yale University.

George Marshman

Amar Kuchinad is a Senior Managing Director at Pretium, where he focuses on the use of technology, data, and analytics, both for internal business process and decision-making, as well as for external commercial opportunities.

Prior to joining Pretium in 2019, Mr. Kuchinad was Chief Strategy Officer at Trumid Financial, which operates a marketplace for institutional investors and dealers in corporate bonds. He joined Trumid from Electronifie, where he was CEO and Founder, upon Electronifie’s acquisition by Trumid in 2017. Previously, Mr. Kuchinad was a Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Kuchinad was formerly a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs where he ran the U.S. portfolio credit trading business and the U.S. structured equity derivatives trading desk and where he was a member of the Securities Division Risk Committee. Mr. Kuchinad began his career at Credit Suisse First Boston.

Mr. Kuchinad is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee.  Mr. Kuchinad received an AB in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College.

Amar Kuchinad

Ted Huffman is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Strategic Development at Pretium, where he has overall responsibility for leading the Firm’s corporate strategy, including strategic acquisitions, dispositions, alliances, and partnerships. Since joining Pretium, Mr. Huffman has led strategic equity investments in Pretium and has overseen the acquisition and integration of Valcour Capital Management, Selene Finance, Deephaven Mortgage and Front Yard Residential (NYSE: RESI).

Prior to joining Pretium in 2014, Mr. Huffman led financial institution originations for Lone Star U.S. Acquisitions, LLC.  Prior to Lone Star, Mr. Huffman spent 12 years at Bear, Stearns & Co, where he began his career in the leveraged finance group before leading strategic corporate finance transactions for financial institutions as a Senior Managing Director.  Mr. Huffman served in the United States Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer, completing deployments to the Middle East, Africa and Central/South America.

Mr. Huffman is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. He received a BA from Georgetown University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Ted Huffman

Dana Hamilton is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Real Estate at Pretium, where she has played a leadership role in Progress Residential, the Firm’s single-family rental platform, as well as for its single-family rental funds and separately managed accounts.

Ms. Hamilton joined Pretium in 2017 with nearly 25 years of experience in building successful real estate operating companies in the U.S. and Europe. She worked with Archstone for nearly 20 years, where most recently she was President, Europe, responsible for building Archstone’s first non-U.S. operating and investment platform. Prior to that role, she was Executive Vice President, in charge of national (U.S.) operations.

Ms. Hamilton is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee.  She is a Director of Life Storage, Inc. (NYSE:LSI).  Ms. Hamilton received a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.

Dana Hamilton

Roberta Goss is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the Bank Loan and CLO Platform at Pretium, where she is responsible for building and leading the Firm’s Crown Point CLO business, as well as managing investments across the Firm’s other corporate credit portfolios.

Ms. Goss joined Pretium in 2019 and has over thirty years-experience managing high yield, leveraged loan and CLO investments.  She joined Pretium from DFG Investment Advisers where she ran their $4 billion CLO platform.  Ms. Goss spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs, most recently as the co-head of the high yield and bank loan business for Goldman Sachs Asset Management.  Earlier in her career she worked on a proprietary desk in London managing high yield and leveraged loan investments for Saudi International Bank (an affiliate of JP Morgan).

Ms. Goss is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee.  She received a BComm from Mount Allison University.

Roberta Goss

David Ford is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of the Corporate Opportunistic & Distressed Platform at Pretium, where he is responsible for building and managing the Firm’s opportunistic and distressed corporate credit investing business.

Mr. Ford joined Pretium through the acquisition of Latigo Partners by Pretium in 2020. Mr. Ford co-founded Latigo Partners L.P. in 2005. Prior Latigo, Mr. Ford was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Satellite Asset Management where he oversaw all credit and distressed related investments. Previously, Mr. Ford was with Och Ziff, responsible for the launch of the distressed component of the firms fixed income business. Mr. Ford started his investment career as the Portfolio Manager of ING Barings’ North American proprietary distressed securities and merger arbitrage portfolios.

Mr. Ford is a member of Pretium’s Executive Committee. He received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Connecticut and received an MBA from the Columbia University, Graduate School of Business. Mr. Ford is on the boards of the University of Connecticut Foundation, The David Lynch Foundation, and Lilah Beauty.

David Ford

Jonathan Ezrow is a Senior Managing Director at Pretium, where he has responsibility relating to the Firm’s financing, reporting, and risk functions. He has played a key role in numerous securitization issuances and debt transactions across the Firm’s strategies and served as the Firm’s Chief Financial Officer from 2016 to 2021.

Prior to joining Pretium in 2015, Mr. Ezrow was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs where he ran the Special Assets group. He was a member of the Management Committee and the Risk Committee for Goldman Sachs Bank USA. Previously, Mr. Ezrow was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at GoldenTree Asset Management where he was a senior member of the restructuring team and managed direct lending strategies. Mr. Ezrow was formerly a Managing Director and Head of European High Yield Capital Markets at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and a Managing Director and Head of U.S. High Yield Capital Markets at Credit Suisse First Boston.  Mr. Ezrow began his career at Bear Stearns and PaineWebber.

Mr. Ezrow is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. Mr. Ezrow received an AB in Economics from Dartmouth College.

Jonathan Ezrow

Kyle Beauchamp is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Quantitative Strategies at Pretium, where he is responsible for delivering analytical applications and quantitative research for the Real Estate business, including asset acquisition, pricing and revenue management, and portfolio optimization tools. 

Prior to joining Pretium in 2012, Mr. Beauchamp was Director, US Structured Finance Pricing at Markit Partners, LLP, where he led a team overseeing mortgage credit analysis and financial modeling. Prior to Markit, he was a research associate at Greywolf Capital and an Associate Director in non-agency ratings at Standard and Poor’s.

Mr. Beauchamp is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. He received a BS in Economics from Duke University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. 

Kyle Beauchamp

Jeffrey Meriggi is a Senior Managing Director and the Chief Business Affairs & Legal Officer at Pretium, where he is responsible for the oversight of all legal and compliance functions related to the Firm. Mr. Meriggi provides counsel on a broad range of matters, including the formation and operation of funds, the structuring and financing of investments and other strategic initiatives.

Prior to joining Pretium in 2014, Mr. Meriggi was a Vice President at Pine River Capital Management L.P., where he advised Pine River and Silver Bay Realty Trust, the first publicly traded single-family-rental company, on transactional matters. Prior to Pine River, Mr. Meriggi was an attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where he focused on real estate, private equity and corporate finance.

Mr. Meriggi is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. He received a BA in History from Washington & Lee University, where he graduated as the valedictorian, and a JD from Columbia Law School.

Jeffrey Meriggi

Jonathan Meltzer is a Senior Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Client Relationship Strategy at Pretium, where he is responsible for client relationships across the Firm’s residential and corporate credit platforms, as well as Pretium’s firmwide debt financing.

Prior to joining Pretium in 2017, Mr. Meltzer was a Partner at Goldman Sachs where he was the Chief Operating Officer of FICC North American Sales and Co-Head of North American Credit Sales. Prior to his 13 years at Goldman, Mr. Meltzer was at Lehman Brothers for 12 years and was Vice President in Credit Sales. He began his career in insurance sales at Tanenbaum-Harber & Co. and the Barasch Group.

Mr. Meltzer is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. He holds a BA from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University. He serves on the Board of the Positive Coaching Alliance and the Board of Advisors at the Trinity Hall School.

Jonathan Babkow is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Residential Credit at Pretium, where he is responsible for the management of the residential credit business.

Mr. Babkow joined Pretium in 2018 with over 25 years of experience in mortgage whole loans including non-performing and re-performing loans. Prior to joining Pretium, Mr. Babkow was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where he was most recently Head of Residential Loan Trading. Prior to that, he was with Bear Stearns for nearly 20 years, where he oversaw the Distressed Residential Loan and Mortgage Servicing businesses.

Mr. Babkow is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. He received a BS from Franklin & Marshall College, where he serves on the Board of Trustees.

Jonathan Babkow

Matthew Cantor is a Senior Managing Director responsible for the oversight of distressed and stressed investment situations across Pretium’s product strategies.

Mr. Cantor joined Pretium in 2020 with over twenty years-experience in corporate restructuring.

He joined Pretium from Lehman Brothers Holdings, Inc. where he ran Lehman’s legal strategy in connection with the liquidation of its assets and business since its emergence from bankruptcy. Prior to Lehman Brothers, Mr. Cantor was a Founding Principal for the distressed, event-driven credit and special situations investment manager at Normandy Hill Capital L.P. Before Normandy Hill, Mr. Cantor was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP where he represented debtors, creditors and investors in corporate reorganizations. Prior to joining Kirkland & Ellis, Mr. Cantor was a Principal at Valley Lane Trading Corp. Mr. Cantor started his career serving as an associate and partner at Weil Gotshal & Manges L.P.

Mr. Cantor is a member of Pretium’s Executive Committee. He received a B.A in Economics from The State University of New York at Binghamton and a J.D. from New York University School of Law. Mr. Cantor currently serves on the boards of Redding Ridge Asset Management, and Selfhelp Community Services, Inc.
