Andy McCartney has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 1998. Andy began their career as the founder of Webanalysis.com, a B2B Internet startup in the early 'online analytics' sector. Andy then moved on to become the Director of Advisory and Entrepreneurial Services at eHatchery Technology Incubator in 2000. In 2002, they joined Vocalocity (Vonage) as the Director of Product Marketing, and then moved on to become the Director of Marketing at OpenSpan in 2005. In 2007, they were the Director of Marketing / Product Marketing at Invirtus / Vizioncore / Quest Software, and then the Director of Strategic Marketing Services at WhatCounts / Premiere Global in 2008. From 2010 to 2015, they were an independent consultant providing B2B Product Marketing Strategy, Training and Services. From 2015 to 2019, they were the Director of Product Marketing, BI and Analytics at Information Builders. Most recently, they have been the Head of Product Marketing at Prevedere Inc. since 2021.

Andy McCartney completed a BA (Hons) in Information Systems Analysis & Design from the University of the West of England. Andy also studied Business Administration, Management and Operations at The University of Georgia, and Marketing & Advertising at the University of Maryland. Andy'seducational background began at Oundle (High) School.
