He is a Venture Partner at Primary where he invests in early stage companies and supports founders with the nitty-gritty of getting a business from idea to Series A: customer discovery, fundraising, product development, got-to-market strategy, key hires, culture building, and the inner-game of entrepreneurship.

Brian’s first business, HowAboutWe, sold to IAC in 2014, and he remains Board Chairman of his second business, SelfMade. Both businesses scaled to tens of millions in revenue and 100+ person teams. True to his founder nature, Brian tackles new problems with rigor and enthusiasm, leveraging broad networks, a passion for learning, and a must win attitude. He specializes in B2B and B2C growth, with experience building sales teams, direct marketing machines, and brands people love.

Brian is also an active angel investor and start-up advisor. He embraces an ethos of uncovering harsh truths while celebrating wins and championing the belief that you can thrive amidst the most challenging of circumstances. He has personally raised over $50MM for his own businesses and has supported founders to raise over $300MM.
