Elmer Polite

Elmer Polite currently serves as the chief financial executive for Prisma Health–Midlands. He formerly was the chief financial officer for Coliseum Health System in Macon, Georgia, where his responsibilities included executive oversight of financial affairs. Previously, he worked with Community Health Systems for nine years and served as the chief financial officer at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro. Polite received bachelor's degrees in agribusiness, economics and accounting at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, and completed his master's in business administration at DeVry University. He is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. A native of South Carolina from the town of Norway, he and his wife Tonya are the proud parents of three children, Tatyana, Isaiah and Jase.
