Derrick Freeman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy and legislative roles. Currently serving as a Senior Fellow at the Progressive Policy Institute since July 2014, Freeman previously held the position of Senior Director at the Nuclear Energy Institute from July 2007 to May 2014. Prior experience includes serving as Legislative Counsel for U.S. Senator Mark Pryor from March 2003 to July 2007. Freeman holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Washington and Lee University (1985), a Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law (2000), and a Certificate in Reactor Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2008).
