Rutger van Merkerk

Rutger van Merkerk has been working in the medical industry since 2003. Rutger began their career at Utrecht University, where they completed their PhD in 2003. In 2007, they joined UMC Utrecht as a Business Developer at Pontes Medical. In this role, they built partnerships between the University Medical Center Utrecht and the industry. In 2015, they became the CEO of Prolira BV, a company focused on safe and accurate delirium monitoring in routine hospital care.

Rutger van Merkerk completed a Masters in Applied Physics from the University of Groningen in 2002. Rutger then pursued a Masters in Business Administration from the same university.
