Micaela Whalen

Micaela Whalen is an experienced marketing and communications professional currently serving as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Propel America since May 2023. With over a decade of experience, Micaela focuses on audience building, brand awareness, media relations, and results measurement to help connect young adults with educational pathways for career success. Previously, Micaela was the Communications Director at the Pioneer Institute for Public Policy Research from October 2010 to February 2023, where responsibilities included managing online content, promoting publications, and coordinating media outreach strategies. Micaela also held the position of Student Enrollment Coordinator at Rising Tide Charter Public School from August 2007 to October 2010 and worked as a Technical Writer for the Office of Educational Quality and Accountability from 2004 to 2007. Micaela holds a BA in Classics from Tufts University, earned in 1998.
