Amey Banarse serves as the VP of Solutions Engineering at Yugabyte, leading a team focused on Field Solutions Architects, Field CTO, and Data Engineering for Fortune 500 and mid-market enterprise clients since June 2019. Amey is also an Angel Investor at Prophecy.io, a cloud native ETL platform. Prior experience includes roles at Pivotal, Inc. as an Advisory Data Engineer and Senior Data Engineer, where responsibilities revolved around Solutions Architecture and Sales Engineering for large enterprises, alongside expertise in big data analytics and cloud technologies. Previous positions include Data Analytics Solutions Architect at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and Senior Consultant at Gemini Systems, among others. Amey holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering with a focus on Networking and Distributed Systems from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications from the University of Mumbai.
