Hayden Johnson serves as Legal Counsel at Protect Democracy since March 2024, previously holding the position of Legal Counsel for Strategic Litigation at the Campaign Legal Center from September 2020 to February 2024, where responsibilities included litigating cases related to voting rights, redistricting, campaign finance, and election integrity. Prior legal experience includes roles as a Judicial Law Clerk in U.S. District Courts, a Legal Fellow, and an intern with various organizations, including the ACLU and the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division. An alumnus of Georgetown University Law Center with a Juris Doctor degree earned in 2019, Hayden also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Socio-Legal Studies and History from the University of Denver. Notable early educational experiences include a Chancellor's Research Fellowship and studies in Greece.
